A: The floor should last between five and ten years. The life of the floor depends on the traffic and how well it's maintained.
Q: What do I do when it loses its shine and starts showing wear?
A: The best thing to do is to call us at the first sign of wear. We come in, screen it and give it a thin coat as long as there is no serious gouges or stains.
Q: What is the best way to maintain my floor?
A: You can use a product known as Poly Care, found at most hardware stores. You can also wipe down your floor with a 10% Windex to 90% water mixture.
Q: How long must I wait before I can walk on it or put furniture and rugs back on the floor?
A: From the time the final coat is applied, we recommend that you wait 24 hours for walking, 24-36 hours for furniture, and 48-72 hours for rugs. The polyurethane needs time to cure, so if you put items on the floor too soon you may have shaded areas when you remove the items.
